Cavalry Making Changes

March 30, 2017 for immediate release:

The CENTEX CAVALRY Professional Indoor Football team would like to announce a change in the Head Coach position to Adrian Perez and the addition of Ramonce Taylor to our team.

Adrian Perez started this season as our defensive coordinator and has a close connection with all the players on our current team. Adrian brings to us many years of experience of arena and indoor football, during which he has learned the game very well from the best coaches in these leagues. Adrian says “ I appreciate the opportunity to lead this team into a winning season and seasons to come.”

Ramonce Taylor was quoted: “This is a great opportunity to give back to the community through a game I love to play. I believe that I will be able to help this organization both on and off the field.” Ramonce comes to us from Belton High School where he set a school record of 4,010 rushing yards, he went on to play for the University of Texas setting the most kick return yards in Rose Bowl history as a true freshman. In 2005 the Longhorns went on to beat USC in the 2005 Rose Bowl winning the 2005 NCAA National Championship, Ramonce was also named the BIG 12 new comer of the year. Ramonce went on to play for several Indoor Football teams and has signed with the CENTEX CAVALRY for the 2017 season. Welcome number 11!

Randy Sanders (owner) was quoted as saying “ This has been a rocky start for a new team in a tough experienced league. We are taking immediate measures to smooth out our first season and put a team on the field that will be here for years to come. By bringing in local talent like Ramonce Taylor, we are solidifying our connection with this community. Ramonce brings a wealth of talent and experience with local ties to this area”

The CENTEX CAVALRY organization will be planning a press conference next week to follow up with this announcement. Details to follow.
